Nowadays, the Company, headed by Eduard Viktorovych Samotkal, has expanded into the international level.

History of creation of "DARA Group" dates back to 1999, when the company Rudsnab Ltd (Krivoy Rog) appeared on the market. It was founded by Eduard Samotkal.
In the first place, the activity of the enterprise was aimed at iron ore processing and supply of iron ore raw materials to the leading metallurgical plants of Ukraine and Europe. The enterprise was also engaged in trading of equipment for processing and beneficiation of iron ore.
Eduard Samotkal also arranged scientific activity at the enterprise: new technologies of iron ore beneficiation and implementation of projects in the ore-mining sub-industry were developed.
Very soon, Eduard Viktorovych Samotkal brought "Rudsnab" to the leading positions in the industry; the enterprise's activity was rewarded by a number of international expert committees:
International Prize "Best Trade Name", New Millennium Award, Madrid, 2006;
Award winner of the Rating "Best Enterprises of Ukraine", Kiev, 2005;
National Business-Rating "Branch Leader - 2006"
Due to the positive dynamics of the Company's development and owing to the qualified management and highly-professional team of the Company, money turnover was increased, thus providing an opportunity to carry investment activities. This explains the active economic growth and mastering of new types of activity, which are being constantly developed until now.
Later on, Eduard Viktorovych SAMOTKAL starts active implementation of projects in other Ukrainian cities, namely:
- in 2002, the Closed Joint-Stock Company "Trading House "Komplekt" was established in Kiev, having as its principal field of business - coordination of trading relationships of industrial companies and supply of gas-turbine and gas-transmission equipment to enterprises of the National Joint-Stock Company "Naftofaz of Ukraine" (Ukraine) and "Gazprom" OJSC (Russia), as well as trading of machine-building products.
- 2003 - 2005 – acquisition of shares in the authorized capital of "Pavlograd Plant of Technological Equipment" LLC, producing specific equipment for mining, metallurgical, and pipe industries etc.;
- acquisition of shares in "Yugtrans" OJSC (Odessa), which is among the largest passenger and cargo carriers in the Southern region of Ukraine; "Kometa" JSC and "Sofia-Granit" CJSC, engaged in extraction and processing of granite;
- establishment of the Limited Liability Company "Trading House "Kometa", dealing with extraction, processing and sale of granite products;
- establishment of the Closed Joint-Stock Company "Insurance Company "Soborny Capital", specialising in insurance of real estate, industrial and construction facilities, medical insurance;
In 2004, the Limited Liability Company "Grimaldi" was launched, which at present has become the principal investment and management company of the Group on the territory of Ukraine. It was that stage when a solid foundation for successful future of "DARA Group" was laid.
During this period Eduard Samotkal formed a team of highly professional and talented top managers.

In 2005, with the purpose of fruitful cooperation with foreign partners and also in order to move the external economic businesses into a separate sector, Eduard Samotkal jointly with the partners took a decision to establish the trade and investment company "Kelmos Enterprises LTD" (Cyprus).
The Company has implemented a number of projects abroad:
Cyprus
- project “Messogios Shore Habitat”, which is one of the largest luxury complexes, consisting of 87 suites, 18 maisonettes, 16 houses, 29 shops and 5 exclusive-class villas in Cyprus. The Project is located just several meters from the Mediterranean Sea. The complex can boast 2 common swimming-pools, a park, a playground for children, a cafe, a restaurant and shops (construction is complete).

So in 2007, within the framework of asset consolidation, optimisation of cooperation with banking institutions and numerous partners, a decision to unite such number of multi-profile companies into a single Group – "DARA Group" - was taken.
Eduard Viktorovych Samotkal, as the President of a socially-conscientious company DARA Group, takes an active part in various charity events and patronage projects. His associates focus their attention on socially vulnerable strata of population, particularly, the retired, veterans, orphan children. Such projects are:
Boarding school "Prolisok", Krivoy Rog;

"Organisation of Veterans of Ukraine", Krivoy Rog;

construction of Saint Varbara's Church, Kotovskiy village, Odessa region.

Recently, Eduard Viktorovych Samotkal officially registered a charitable foundation named after him.
Moreover, "DARA Group" actively invests considerable funds into the development of Ukrainian sports, particularly, providing financial assistance to Rugby clubs "Aviator" (Kiev), "Gornyak" (Krivoy Rog) and Boxing club "Triumph" (Krivoy Rog).
